Cima del Cacciatore from Monte Lussari
A real summit at 2,071 metres, reachable in a little over an hour because the cable car does most of the climbing. But the last stretch is a scramble.

This is the cleverest short cut in the Tarvisio area: you take the cable car up to Monte Lussari, which does almost all the climbing, and from there only three hundred and five metres remain to reach a real summit at two thousand and seventy-one metres. An hour and a quarter up, forty-five minutes down.
From the top you see the Mangart group, the Julian Alps and, on the other side, Carinthia. It is the panorama that usually costs a full day of walking, and here it costs a morning.
Do it on the day you go up to Lussari anyway. You visit the village, you have lunch, and then instead of coming straight down you add an hour and a quarter and reach a summit. It is the same cable car ticket.
⚠️ This is not a stroll. Care is needed in the couloir below the summit, and on the last stretch you scramble with the help of metal cables: you need fitness and sure footing. Not with small children. And you need boots, not trainers.
