The plain below the Fusine lakes has fourteen kilometres of tracks in winter, and something the others do not have: they are also used by mushers, that is, by people driving a dog sled.
Watching them go past while you ski is one of those memories children retell for years, and it costs nothing: you only have to be there. The backdrop is the Mangart group, the same lakes you walk around in summer.
If you come in winter with children, this is the half-day to plan even if you cannot ski: you arrive, walk a little along the edge of the plain, and wait for the dogs to go by.
The tracks are shared: if you are walking, stay off the prepared grooves, which are for skis, and do not go near a team in motion.
